Replacing lens in 1972 gauges

I'm working on replacing my gauge lenses in my 1972 (Fuel, Speedometer, Clock) and I'm having a heck of a time getting the tabs bent back over once I put in the new lens... I've pried back the metal ring on the gauges to pull off the faceplate (maybe that's not the easy way to do this)... anyhow should be a super simple fix but I can't find a tool that provides the right leverage without risking scratching my new lenses... please let me know if someone has tackled this one with ease.

Thanks!

I sent my gauges off to Redline and I included new lenses and face plates when I shipped them off. They called me and told me the lenses were not the correct ones and I was surprised because I remember buying them off Ebay for a Cutlass.

He told me to order a set from The Parts Place and those are the ones that was used. Maybe that might be your problem as well.
