Can anyone out there give me instruction on, how to remove the rear bench seat of my 1970 Rallye 350? I would greatly appreciate any help.Thank you, Rallye-Debbie 350

OK, its kind of a pain and may take a few tries. But there's two hooks welded to the floorboard and you have to get down low against the seat to push back and when you get it pushed in far enough lift up on it. So I'll wedge myself between the front seat and rear seat on the floorboard, then push in at the bottom of the rear seat. I'll use my knee to push in, and then lift up with my hands. You'll have to do that on each side. Here's a couple pictures that I hope explain what it looks like, these are from a 1967 floorboard but the setup is the same. Anybody else have a technique they can share? John

Just an addition...

The wires on the seat frames that engage the hooks are at the very bottom (duh.), and are attached to the bottom-most portion of the frame. That means you have to press on the bottom edge of the seat, right next to the floor.
That may not sound like a big deal, but when you're wedged in between the front seat and the back seat, trying to push the rear seat frame back at its very bottom, at the worst possible angle, you'll see what I mean.

Also, when you pop the first side up, you may not see it come up very much, so don't worry if it doesn't really seem to come up. That being said, you may have to do it a couple of times before you get it.

The first postings gave a good description. You have to sort of push in or back and when the seat moves pull up. If it is stuck or rusted, then what I have done in the past is use a jack handle, reaching in to the two brackets and prying the bottom of the seat frame loose. This will also free the seat. best if the rear carpet is out of the car.

I had to use a long flat head screwdriver to aide in the removal
