Quarter Window Vertical Chromes

Time to replace my pitted quarter window vertical chromes. Can anyone share how to remove the stock ones w/o damaging the window? Thanks

Some times you can have the window down just enough to have your hand on the top of the glass and hold it while you pull it off with the other hand. I have been able to do it that was many times. Now and then it is to tight and I can't do it that way.

Thanks, I just want to remove the moldings, not the whole window.

Don,
I'm not sure if it's the same process, but on my '68, I had the glass(es) removed from the car. Simply holding the glass with one hand and the trim with your other hand, firmly pull straight away from the leading edge of the glass. Mine came off fairly easily with no other tools, lube, or anything.
