Quarter Window Reinstall - Tips?
Quarter Window Reinstall - Tips?
During my most recent visit to work on my car ('68 442 coupe), I discovered the center cam on the passenger side quarter window was not in the groove/slot in the regulator (manual hand crank style).
Somehow I was able to remove the glass without damaging it.
I was having so much difficulty trying to reinstall the glass, I gave up. I'm going to try again in a couple days.
I'd appreciate any quick tip advice for this. I do have a Fisher Body manual which provides basic instructions, but would still prefer comments from those who've actually done this.
Thanks so much.

Hey Tom,
I just finished putting the glass back in my 68 convertible. I don't know if it is the same for your coupe. The main channel that bolts to the top edge (two downward bolts) and down at the bottom (two more?) had to be disconnected to get that center roller and glass to fit into the channel. Once in the channel, I put the bolts in. Basically seemed like everything needed to be loose to get the window in.
Good Luck!

Thanks Joe,
I'm concerned about not damaging other items (paint on car, headliner, etc.), aside from the glass itself.
Good luck with your W. Hope to see you at an NTOC mtg or event soon.
