Is this part sold aftermarket?

The part i need is for a g body cutlass, i'm not sure of what it is called, maybe window belt molding or window gide, its the rubber piece that is pinched to a chrome molding, keeps water from going inside of the door, presses against the window, are these sold aftermarket or from GM still, its common to deteriorate and since they sell new weatherstripping for the car i hope i can find this part, thanks for the help,
Scott

The generic name is window felts or fuzzies.
On the A bodies, you have to buy the set of 8, interior and exterior for fronts and backs.

Belt molding.

Check with Fusick. He had some original GMs last summer. Individual left and rights.

82 - 85 Supreme 2-dr outer sealing strip. LH 20674279 / RH 20674278. Disc by GM but still available from Vintage Parts. Can be ordered thru any GM dealer, should list for about 70.00 each. Not cheap but worth it. I put them on my 85 and they cut wind noise and rattles plus much less water getting inside the door.

The two strips referenced above have the small chrome bead..... If you have the wide chrome trim (BX2 Option) the actual belt moldings (complete) are 20674292 (RH) & 20674293 (LH) and the sealing strips (rubber only) for replacement to the chrome trim are 20674276 & 20674277.... All of these are also disc by GM and not available from VPI....

Thank you for pointing out that distinction. I was so focused on finding ANYTHING that was still available that I just jumped on those two numbers. The last thing I want to do is give out bad info. I don't know if these are reproduced, so these could still be a "better than nothing" alternative. Thanks again for watching my back.

Great catch, kind of forgot about that myself.

Here is a helpful post from our friends on ROP.

You weren't giving out bad info, if in fact, that was the style that was needed.... I just thought it was important to note the difference of the two styles produced.... And you are correct, they are a "better than nothing" alternative and will function and look fine in place of the BX2 style.... BTW, the style you listed are reproduced, but I hear from many individuals who have purchased them that they just don't fit like the GM OEM ones.......

I always try to go OE but I'll admit to being biased since I've been selling GM parts for about 25 years. The only repro part I remember ordering was a foam seal for the OAI, but I didn't like the look of it, so I'm still using the original. My car won't win any car shows but I can say its all GM parts. Just remembered, I do have 2 repro parts, the engine emission spec label and the "KEEP YOUR GM CAR ALL GM" label. Ironic.
