OPG 1965-69 Manual Console base

Anyone care to review the 1965-69 Manual Console Base that is currently on sale for $405.99 at OPG. I need a new base as I am not happy with the one I currently have in my car. Spring will bring a new carpet for my 66 Cutlass vert. Like to hear anything good or bad about the product. Also any pitfalls during installation.
Thanks
Wayne

I have a 65 Cutlass Sports Coupe with a 4 speed and buckets seats. Car did not console in it. I bought mine from the Parts Place with the mounting brackets. Easy install no problems with the seat clearance. It has been in car for 3 years now. Not sure if new console will match your original mounting brackets. Bassinguy

Interested in this post as well. My understanding is that it does not come with latch on the side for the lid lock mechanism.

Probably the same base sold by TPP. I've heard mixed reviews about fitment of the OEM parts to the base.

Mike, who is TPP? Would like to know as much as I can before spending $400.
