Modify h/t rear seat to fit convertible 1972

Has anyone done this or tried? I've got a good hard top rear seat I thought about narrowing it to fit my convertible .

Have not tried it. Seems like a lot of work to modify one. I would think there would be one available in the DFW area.

I haven't found one other than 500$ in Houston , I figured if they all sale for that price I might try hacking a hard top up and maybe make it fit. If you know where ones at for a decent price around here please let me know

I sold a core convertible bottom and seat back to a member here a couple years ago for $100. They're out there

Well I sure wishes someone would pop up with one for sale. I sure could use it. Every time my kid gets in the back seat she complains about sitting on the floor lol

Put a milk crate in there
or an old pair of bucket seats

The seat frame is steel wire, so after removing the upholstery it would seem feasible to cut and weld as required, then re-cover it.

Well we made the hard top back seat fit in the car , just bowed it a little set it in then pushed it down flat , it's not fitting like a convert seat would but its better that nuthing. Now as for the upper part were not having as much luck lol .
