lost seat button

lost seat button

Lost one of the seat button caps in storage. Do they reproduce these? Looks like it got knocked off and of course I cant find it!!

What color was it? I saved a few original gold buttons.

Black, 71 interior. Do they just snap back on? Ive never had one come off...

I'm not home right now to inspect the buttons, but I believe they have a loop on the backside so they can be pulled inward with string/thread. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong.

Not saying Bluesbrother is wrong, but the buttons I've seen work like this...

There's a stem on the back of the button. The stem pushes through a retainer about double the diameter of the button. Your retainer may have let go of the stem or the stem may have broken off.

You will need to remove the seat cover to put a new one on.
