Thumbs down Legendary Floor Mats

Hi all! Has anyone ordered floor mats from Legendary? I have to say that after waiting 6 full weeks mine look crappy. I paid $140 + shipping and thus was expecting high quality mats. Instead, I received cheap looking rubber mats made with poor craftsmanship. I'm returning them.

The original 70 mats were cheap looking rubber mats. My first drivers side mat lasted almost a year before splitting almost in half. My warranty replacement lasted twice as long before it started to split. (It's still in the car.)
Legendary's mats sound like too good a reproduction!

Legendary Floor Mats Pics

Here are some pics. The flaws are all on the back of the carpets. Some friends have told me not to worry about that.

Those are nice! However, I was looking for rubber ones.

For the same money, you can get new reproductions of the correct original style rubber mats, as long as you like them in black.

No, I'm not kidding. I was just afraid that those flaws could result in eventual cracks and breakages sooner than expected.

Yeah, I know. I saw them in the OPG cat.

Looks to me like they made a mold from a set of original mats that had flaws on the back from years of use, cleaned up the molds on the front side, where you can see them, but not on the back side, because nobody ever looks there.

Guess they were wrong about that.

Everything is possible. Also, I ordered them dark blue. The color doesn't look dark to me.

Looking at your pictures, they look medium blue to me. I would return them too. If you're interested, another option could be the original style mats. I bought them from Fusick's about two years ago and they are still looking great.

I agree that those mats look like a medium blue, but, of course, that's why terms such as "dark blue" are not very useful.

If they had said that the color would match a certain interior color code, or posted paint chips, or provided samples, you would have had a better idea of what color they were supposed to be.

All that being said, I suspect that the factory mats were not carefully color-matched to the interior colors, and these may be the exact color of the factory's "dark blue" mats.

Since you're returning them because of the color anyway, I'd be curious to know what they said about the details on the back side.
