Legendary 1965 Sport Coupe Set Covers?
Legendary 1965 Sport Coupe Seat Covers?
Has anyone ordered Sport Coupe (post) seat covers from Legendary? I am looking for a set for my 65 442. I checked their catalog and saw only Hardtop and Convertible covers. I would like to go with Legendary this time since I used PUI last time and had a few problems.
Thanks,
Steve

Thanks for the info. I have heard good things about Legendary, was hoping to try them on my 65. I had a problem with the color on my 64 with PUI. Since the 65 is a Red Metallic color, I was worried that I might have the same problem. I guess I'll have PUI send me a sample of their vinyl for the 65 and see what it looks like. Thanks Again.
Many, many, many years ago I owned a 65 sport coupe just like yours. Mine was Forest Mist with black interior. I bought the seat kit from a place called Inter Coach Products. I do not think they are still in business. They had the exact same seat pattern as yours. Maybe someone will know who bought their product line. That kit was exactly like factory and was extremely nice.
Hey guys are the "post car" rear seats the same as a wagon? I'm getting closer to getting the rear seat and door panels reupholstered to match somewhat to the Scat Procar bucket seats and I may look around for better seat frames.
wagon backseats are totally different... upper cushion folds down flat w/ a carpet covered metal back, and the bottom cushions have rounded corners to allow passengers in (unless its a 2door wagon)
I had a 65 post car that was the twin of yours. Except black interior. I got seats and carpet from a company called Inter Coach Products. That was back in late 80's. I do not know who bought that company but their product was exceptional.
Are those your existing seats in the first pic?
Have you called legendary and asked if they would be interested in making templates of yours so they could reproduce them? (long shot, but they do do that if you have good originals to go off of and they have had requests for the specific vehicle before)...
I'm sure you already know this but ANY upholstery shop should be able to replicate those covers... they are fully stitched patterns so very easy to make- but of course it will be custom made and cost will be in line with a one off job, unlike production made covers like PUI.
