Last work for 2011

Today I got my rear seat back covered. I planned to use jute and topper foam over the burlap, but it was too much material, so I just used the jute. It was still a VERY tight fit, especially over the lower corners. Saved some $$$ doing it myself, though. First up for next year(tomorrow) tear-down of seat bottom and prep for new cover installation.

Very nice Chumley, looks just like new. Does it come with 'new car smell'?
What brand were the covers?

Legendary. Notice the slight off-center of the middle seam.( I think one of Jupiters moons was in retrograde when I installed the cover.) Seriously, this is my first time doing this upholstery thing. I figure the slight flaws won't be as noticeable once they are in the car. As I get better after the first time experience, I figure I can get another project after this one to see how I have improved.( pending my wife's approval of course) Tore down the seat bottom yesterday and plan on painting the frame today if the sun ever comes out. Hopefully my panels will get here about the time I finish with the seats. I have been waiting for them since October. They have been having problems with just about every aspect of the manufacuring process. At least I know they will be quality when they finally arrive. Chumley

Yes, the car is smelling newer in side as time goes on
