I'm repainting my console, armrests, kick panels etc black.
I'm torn, I've heard mostly positive stuff about Krylon and the ease of application but SEM seems to be the standard.

Any input/pictures of both would be appreciated.

SEM is the name brand product. I have used Krylon for some non-automotive applications & it was just fair.

 

i have used SEM in the past for a console in black and it looked great. i have heard that the SEM black is the best match but some of there other colors may not be as perfect of a match but that is just what i hear. i felt that the black was dead on.

The Krylon Fusion is too glossy,and it has a tendency to chip-off on an edge.The SEM seems to coat thinner,but makes a better bite,and has the correct sheen to it.
