this has been bugging me for a while and was wodering if someone could look at this pic and tell me if this trim is on right .its the way it was when i got the car but doesnt look right.any detailed pics of the proper way this trim is installed would be appreciated.thanks

 

The welting needs to go over and fill in that gap.

 

Thanks I thought it should fill the gap but not sure how it would stay put ,its pretty rigid . I'll mess with it tomorrow

 

It actually clamps on the metal. Is it the same on the other side?

 

No it kinda sticks out on the other side so I left it alone until I could figure out how it properly attaches

 

not really seeing how that welting would clamp in place .there is no channel on it to fit into the metal unless something is missing .i may be able to glue it in place with 3m adhesive

 

Nope......the welting in the pic is in the original/factory/correct position. Some side panels fit down a bit tighter where the horizontally oriented gap appears BUT the welting is correctly located/positioned AS IS.

 

ive seen some pics of it like mine but thought most people were tucking it in there to get it out of the way ill do the same on the drivers side.done deal,thanks
