installing headliner today.
Installing the headliner in my 68 Cutlass today and it's not going to bad. Have it fit and the clips all around it holding it in. It seems to have a lot of wrinkles. Will a heat gun or blow dryer tighten these up. I know I have read that they all tighten up but how much? Kinda wondering if mine needs to be tighter before I start gluing it in
Thanks...
Thanks...

This thread over on Chevelles.com seems pretty definitive to me.
I haven't done this myself yet, but I did bookmark this thread for whenever I do.

Mostly, you have to get it tight on installation, or the wrinkles will stay. I struggled with a couple of them that weren't cut tight enough on mfg. between the passages for the wires, and there was no way to get them tight enough.

Thanks guys. Yea my windshield is out, making it a lot easier in the front. Don't want to take my rear window out but..... I just thought I seen something about heat guns or steaming or something. Guess I'm just gonna have to fight with it.

If you're in a warm climate, let it heat cycle a couple days. If wrinkles are there, they'll be staying.
I wouldn't recommend a heat gun, some synthetics don't respond very well to heat and it can be easy to over heat it. No way to fix after that.
