How to remove plastic seat backs...? (1969 Cutlass Supreme)
Hi guys!
Tried to remove the plastic seat backs on my 69 Cutlass supreme.
Removed the 3 screws under the plastic panel, but can't remove the release button... And the plastic Seat backs.
Any tips?
Thanks a lot!!

Christophe, I cannot answer your question from memory, but I looked at it for a while before I realized what you meant:
Because of the differences in languages, what you mean to ask is "How do I remove the plastic seat-backs from the bucket seats?"
Adjectival word order between English and French can be tough, since both have rules, but neither language actually follows them.
In English, "back seat" can really only mean the place where you take your girlfriend when you go to watch the submarine races.

OK, its been a few years but let me take a stab at this. You've removed the screws on the bottom, the ones you can see when you tip the seat back forward, correct? Being a 1969 the release button should be in the center of the back, kind of a squarish button. Take a couple putty knives and wrap a layer of tape over them to keep from scratching the plastic. Then slide them under the edge of the release button on opposite sides. The button clips in, so you'll need to gently pry/pull it straight out. The edge is actually chrome plated plastic, so if your too rough it will crack or break the area surrounding the button. Once the button is out then slide the seat back up a little and it will come off.
