I have a 72 4dr supreme that used to have these. When we did the vinyl top 20 something yrs ago they never got reattached and we never noticed. I ordered them but don't have them yet. Thanks
They should have mounting pins on back. You'll have to feel around the new top for the original mounting holes and then poke holes in yer new top to install them.
Get someone here with similar car to take measurements of where they're located. Might make it easier.
maybe get the car in a dark garage and shine a light down the roof profile and see if you can find the indentations where the holes should be looks like fun
I'd be surprised if the emblems don't come with the trim barrel clips.
Push the clips onto the studs, push the emblem into holes. The clips grab both the emblem and the hole.
Make a double X in the holes through the vinyl with a sharp Exacto size razor. This prevents you from dragging the top into the holes.
Do not use a drill. A drill will twist/rip the vinyl.
Tip: don't bottom-out the clips on the studs on the emblem prior to affixing them to the car. Let the motion of pushing the emblem "home" push them to the final depth on the studs.
I can't remember if those emblems use barrel clips or if they had a "springy" wire on both sides of the pin that held them in. Good advice on opening the holes.
