Horn Button Logo - Sport Wheel 75 Olds
Horn Button Logo - Sport Wheel 75 Olds
On my H/O I've got the steering wheel and the horn contact in the correct position as near as I can tell from watching a couple videos! BUT, the logo on the horn button, instead of being vertical is at the 11 o'clock position. It's like the logo on the button is twisted counterclockwise a bit! The screws for both the steering wheel and the springy contact button are horizontal as they should be and steering wheel is centered. Is there a way to twist that Olds Logo a bit clockwise to align it or is that the piece that's pop riveted into the button?
Well, I figured this one out myself! I had a old horn button and I was able to remove the center emblem (almost like taking off a tire)....and adjust it to have it positioned vertically when the horn button is reinstalled. Actually, after I removed it, I found a small notch on the emblem and with a little silicone spray around on the edge, I was able to get a small screw driver into that notch and was able to turn the emblem to the correct position. So problem solved. After watching some videos, I DO have the horn contact installed correctly with that spring loaded contact deal at about the 10:00 or 10:30 position and the steering wheel is centered! So that wasn't the issue.
