help with heater faceplate gloss

Hi everyone,
Anybody know the correct gloss for a 69 442 heater faceplate? I'm unsure if it's semigloss or flat finish? Please help?
As always thanks for any responses

It's semi-gloss, but probably not as glossy as semi-gloss today. If you a re spraying from a can, you can just back up a bit for less gloss.

paint the whole thing, then scrape the letters off with a razor blade.

A/C Faceplate

I just painted my radio and A/C faceplates for the '69 using Rustoleum Satin Black. The sheen is just a touch glossier than the original, and they look much better than the chipped up prior version.
