There are a few vendors on ebay that have reasonably priced shields. You can make them out of plastic sheeting that is 6mil or thicker.

I replaced the shields on my 66 Cutlass vert. I used 3M Strip-Calk to reset the shields. The factor adhesive was lightly used to save time and money. I cleaned off all of the old stuff and was generous with the new strip with only a few open spots. Prior to that clean all the vents and any dirt deposits.

Just get some heavy MIL plastic sheet from a HW store and cut to fit. Nobody is ever going to be able to see under the door panels to know if you have "date correct" brown/black wax paper sheets in there, and it will serve the same purpose just fine.

Wayne: Maybe dumb question about the water shield and insulation ( I have to replace mine on my 75 H/O), Does the water shield go on first, then the insulation, which I'm kind of assuming, but if it's like a house, ...the vapor barrier goes on last? :-)
