Door panels

After looking at several members pictures [lady72 in particular] I’ve come to the conclusion my door panels are garbage. The wood grain is so bad i can’t believe PUI would sell them. Both cars are very much wrinkled. I called the place I got them from and they were very nice about it and sent me another set. The second set was just as bad so I got to believe it’s the manufacture. I don’t mind paying for quality but I don’t know where to turn. Anybody got the answer? I know there is another company that sells them, but are they really any better?

This seems to be a common problem with PUI door panels. I have seen some advertisement from them somewhere where they claim they've "updated" their door panels. Don't know if that means they did anything about the woodgrain problems..I recall it mentioning something about more defined lines, etc so maybe nothing was done woodgrain-wise.

Your other choice is Legendary Interiors. Don't seem to be any complaints about the woodgrain on theirs and I haven't seen any evidence of the woodgrain problems on Legendary door panels I have recently built and installed. DO, however, check them closely WHEN YOU RECEIVE THEM, for mispunched/mislocated window crank holes, correct woodgrain, etc. Good quality but they make mistakes on occasion so check the stuff soon after receiving it.

Besides their quality and attention to detail, Legendary has a great customer service that will stand behind there product and replace it if needed. I had a problem with the front door wood grain lining up with the rear. Sent some photos with measurments and have received replacement panels.
