DIY Seat Foam?

I am reupholstering my front bench seat. The bottom foam and PS seat back foam were good. I tried using 2" foam to make a seat back foam but the cover just doesn't fit right. Any suggestions or where I might purchase a piece? I originally went to purchase a=the complete foam kit which was priced reasonably but the shipping doubled the cost, which I thought was rediculous.
thanks,
Steve

I went to Michael’s Hobby/Craft Store or whatever it’s called. They have a decent selection of various foams in various thicknesses ranging from firm to soft.

Well it has paid off letting it sit for a week, I came back with a renewed energy and let it sit in the sun and used some 1/2" foam and some polyester furniture packing material and got it pulled out nicely. I had started with 2" foam but couldn't get the piping to run straight. Stuffed in some filler here and there and Voila, had to look up the spelling on that one.

I cut up a new good foam pillows for all my seats bottoms. Real comfortable, like a Cadillac! Even years later.

Also use an electric carving knife to cut the foam to shape. Been using that trick for years.
