dash pad

dash pad

I need a new dash pad in my 1966 olds cutlass,does the whole dash need to be removed to put a new pad in? Thanks.

dash pad

Yes the whole instrument panel and pad come out as one piece.I leave the wiring harness connected to the dash and pull it out .drop the steering column to get a little extra room..Also remove the fuse box .If you have A/C its a little more work but worth the effort. Clean as much as you can while its apart

dash pad

taking the front seat out will give some extra room to get under dash. Be careful when you unplug the harness from the printed circuit board . those pins are easily broken
