Question dash board lights

I need help/ Just put in a dash(correct 1967 cutlass supreme) into mine but the panel lights don't work. Everything else works and all the bulbs are good.Any ideas as to how to fix it will be greatly appreciated

The power for those lights come through the headlight switch. there is a rheostat in the switch to allow a brighter or dimmer function for the instrument panel illumination. The coiled spring or the spring loaded contact are easy places for failure. If you aren't getting any power to the bulbs, then check for power at the headlight switch.

Check the ground at the dash, and also check to see if there is power to the bulbs. If no power, check the connection at the headlamp switch. Turn the headlight switch dash dimmer function to both extreme positions and see if the dash lights work, or if the interior lights illuminate. This needs to be done with the doors closed. If the interior lights don't come on, then there is a loose connection. If they do, then the connections are good, and the switch is defective in the dash panel lighting circuit.
