Cleaning a vinyl headliner?

The headliner on my 57 olds super 88 is in great shape except for little spot stains that look a little like rust. I have tried many different cleaners to no avail. I started with dish soap and progressed to disinfectant wipes to castrol "super clean" that states that if it cant clean it it cant be cleaned. I tried carpet cleaner also.

Any ideas?

A cleaner called Purple Power did a really good job at getting grease and grime off of a lot of my interior parts.

I am in the process of cleaning my leather and vinyl seats. My seats have that rusty type marks to them, and I cannot get rid of it.

Tried a few different brands of leather cleaner, but went to good old 'Saddle Soap' which is available here from places that sell horse stuff like saddles/bridles etc. Saddle soap, hot water and elbow grease got rid of all grime except those rust type marks.

As the name implies-for cleaning dirty grotty saddles, its apparently better than normal soap. If you can get it, get it or a similar cleaner or soap with clycerine in it. I hear that the clycerine helps lift the dirt better. May lift those stains.

I've always used an aerosol foaming cleaner called tuff stuff, in red and yellow can. It can be had almost anywhere.
