Anyone use the PUI vinyl headliner?
I couldn't tell you about PUIs' headliners but after seeing how awful their '68 442 seat covers were I went with Legendary's!!! Their stuff is more expensive but you get what you pay for definitely applies at least for their seat covers!!
I'm fine with it.
I ordered everything form Fusicks..back in 07. Had a local shop do the headliner install. I did the seat covers,panels,carpet...etc.
I don't have a show car. Its a simple old driver.

From my lessons learned file:
Headliner installation is a major PITA. I tried to do that with my dad many moons ago on our first resto. The front came together OK, but the back over the sail panels just rippled like crazy. There's a definite time-learned skill for getting those things straight and tight. I would recommend turning that over to a shop. The real problem is you can test fit all you want, but that doesn't matter much until the glue goes on. And once you start down that path you have to finish it. Any small mistake in the front just amplifies as you go back. Do take out the front seats and console when doing this - you'll need to be able to crawl around a lot.
The headliner should be fabric. It usually comes with fabric to cover the sail panels as well.
Seats are IMO quite a bit easier. If you are re-using your old foam then it's really easy. It can be tight with new foam, and you may want to closely inspect the springs and repair as necessary. RAMBOW on here does a ton of seat work, sells supplies, and has posted how-tos. There are some simple tips - like cover the seat with a plastic shopping back right before slipping on the vinyl, then pull out the bag. Make sure all of the back comes out! The bag is more slippery for the vinyl. Also get the correct hog ring pliers. Bending those with normal pliers is certainly doable, but you'll save a lot of time and aggravation.
Legendary is generally better than PUI. I think the difference is most notable for door panels, but there are differences for all the parts. PUI normally fits and functions just fine.

The front seat will be out which should help. I kind of figured it was going to be a bastard, stupid mice. The seat will be used foam and I am buying hog ring pliers from Princess Auto. This car will never be a show car, hopefully it won't look like *** though. I don't know if there is anywhere within reasonable driving distance that could do the headliner for me.

I redid my seats over the winter. I found a new set of PUI seat covers for my 71 cheep on Facebook, so I couldn't pass them up. I originally wanted to go with Legandary, but like I said, the PUI's I found were cheep. I figured I'd install these for now, and if I didn't like them I'd replace them in the future.
As it turns out I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the PUI covers. The texture and pattern were really nice. They installed nice too. I used my old foam but one thing that helped a lot was a cloths steamer. It really helped softening the material where in needed it, plus it helped removing wrinkles after they were installed.
I'm still kicking around doing my headliner myself. I got quotes for around $700-$1000 to have someone do it, but that's way to pricey for me. The damn headliner is only $80! It will be a bitch I know, but I can't see spending that kind of money on that. I don't have a show car, so if I can do a decent job I'd be happy.

I do have a steamer. They sound fine to me, I am reusing the foam. This headliner was NIB and $20 cheaper than anywhere else. For that price to install, it would have to be beyond perfect.
