'69 Quarter window removal and rubber
The rear quarter windows in my '69 Cutlass S don't roll down too well so I'm planning on getting a look at what's going on with the regulators. I've pulled the back seat and will take out the inner panels to access the regulators. While I'm that far in, I might as well take the windows out to replace the rubber in the chrome channels (original rubber is falling apart). So I have a couple of questions:
1) Are there any tricks to getting the rear windows out of a hard top car? I've pulled the rear glass out of my '69 convertible several times and it's not too bad but the hard top will obviously require the window to be leaned in or out. Any suggestions are welcome.
2) I've also replaced the 1/4 window rubber before but when I did, I was also changing the chrome channel. How difficult is it to get the original rubber out of the channel without disrupting the original channel on the glass? Here again, any suggestions are welcome.
Thanks in advance for any help.
