69 olds 442 conv with air. Need new molded dash unit
I have not found a source for a new molded dash unit for my 69 olds 442.
A new vinyl cover would work at a min. I really need a whole new unit as I put my car back together. This car has AC. Thanks, guys for any info.

If by "molded dash unit" you mean the dash pad, you won't find a new one. Good used or the expensive recovering process are your only options. Don't expect much change back from your $1,000 bill if you go the recovering route.

Dash pad for 69 442
Thanks Joe for the info. I'm not surprised. I've found sub freezing
temperatures will often cause an old original to crack/split open.
I have already spent WAY too much $ on this frame off resto. Can
anyone suggest a "workaround" until I feel like demolishing a grand!

I'll check on used dash pads on Ebay and this site. FYI JustDashes.com
has a good website that shows their process. Looks like the best restoration possible and I'm sure it ain't cheap. Only problem with a good used original:
If the car is exposed to really cold weather.... any old dash can crack. Been there... done that! That's what happened to my 442 original and a 68 bmw 1600 dash. The 442 was stored in a barn in Iowa for a few years. Gets cold there more often than not.
Appreciate the info guys... thanks!

This part which is neither fast nor slow
http://www.ebay.com/itm/1968-69-Cutl...8e4fa5&vxp=mtr
let's call it "half fast" :-)
But, seriously, it's a good and affordable alternative.

69 dash pad
Here's an ad in KY/cincinnatti craigs list I just came across. Not sure if they'd ship or not.

This is probably the same dash pad cover as shown for sale on Ebay.
Has anyone actually installed this cover over a slightly cracked dash and have it look decent?
Looks like it could be worth a try for 99 plus 30 shipping? Thanks for the replies guys..

Thanks Joe.
I have some good upholstery shops in my area. I'll check them out. I have time to explore. The car is in the body shop for now. That one crack down the middle of my dash pad doesn't look so bad right now!!
