67C/S headliner
FYI- Vinyl "dye" is not a dye. It does not penetrate the vinyl in anyway.
It is a paint that has more flexible and adhesion properties than average paint does.
most headliners can be restored to a nice look using:
1. a steamer to loosen the dirt & grease
2. simple green & a scrub brush to remove the dirt & grease.
Steam it, then scrub it, then steam it again and wipe it clean.
This does assume the stiches are not dry rotted and come apart when you start putting pressure on it from cleaning... which happens a lot with 50 year old stitches.
I've brought white headliners back to life with the above steps.
