66 toro smells funky/ has mildew on vinyl...what to do?

like the title says, my 66 toro has mildew on some of the vinyl (cloth is ok) and it just stinks inside (mainly from mildew). I know it had mice in it, so I'm probably missing a couple mouse nests which cause odor, but how can I get rid of the smell and mildew on the vinyl?

Sounds like a leaking heater core.

Water and bleach work to get rid of mildew, just be careful of the cloth carpet etc.

I had a funky smell too in my car, I used baking soda, dryer sheets, febreeze etc but it still had the smell. Finally after the dash was out I discovered it was the old dash insulation that was retaining the smell. There would have been nothing that could have gotten rid of it except replacement. Good luck.

I scrubbed the entire interior of mine with 409 when I first got it. There was mildew on all of the interior panels.

Your local RV dealership has stuff special for getting rid of the smell.

Is there a cause for the mildew?

the mildew was caused by sitting in a damp garage for 20 years.
