442 Power Driver's Seat Question?

Does anyone know where I can buy driver's side power bucket seat parts for a '68-'72 442? Such as: the electic motors & cables. Thank you in advance!

Yikes. Not to discourage you, but good luck with that. I'm guessing you're going to have to have your seat motor rebuilt. From what I've read, it's not too difficult a job provided you find the right person.

As far as cables are concerned, place a wanted ad on 442.com. Also, you can try a few places I've had luck with such as Central Grade Auto (208-743-9505) and All American Classics. http://www.allamericanclassics.com/

I'm guessing the GM A-bodies used similar parts, cables and motors from 68-72. Someone might be able to chime in here on that, but you might find what you're looking for from some of the Chevelle parts houses.

The 67-72 A-body seat tracks are the same.

Smile Electra Glide

The motor assembly from a bench seat car will work if it is a four-way...If your cable casings are intact then you could use the inner drives from the longer bench seat donor, shortened to length..

Yes. Most people do not realize this.

I'm re-covering the front buckets for my 68 cutlass S. The drivers seat is power and I've taken the power assembly off to do the work. I've looked on E-bay because I'm curious about the value of the power seat assembly. I've seen at least two different sellers in the past few weeks selling the assembly. (It bolts in where the seat tracks normally go). Haven't seen them as catalogue items new. The assembly should look like this.
