I am replacing my carpeting on a 1972 cutlass convertible and need to remove console. Where are mounting points? I see two screws up near the front of the console. Are the others under the console box? Do you need to remove the box inserts?

 

Yes. The screws are below the inserts.

 

I assume you also know to drive out the spring pin that retains the finger grip to the shifter, right?
