1970 Vista Cruiser Rear Speaker

I would like to add rear speaker(s) to my Vista Cruiser and have three questions.

1. Did the factory place the speaker on the driver side?

2. Can someone provide dimensions for placement of the speaker?

3. Is there clearance to install a second rear speaker in a similar position on the passenger side?

If no one else has your answer I think I have a rear panel with a speaker in it. I will have to look in my garage attic. I am pretty sure it is a odd sized like 4 x 10 and the speaker isn't very deep. I can't remember which side it was on.

Thanks Greg.

You are right about the speaker shape, I have two of those narrow, shallow ones for the rear of the wagon getting reconed.

Look forward to your measurements.

Hey Gary, I got some pics and measurements sort of. I knew I had a rear speaker in a rear panel somewhere. It turned out to be in my car! The old Vista is in for its winter slumber but I got some pics such as they are. Yes the speaker is on the left side. I think you could put one on the right side also and it would be in about the same location to be in the panel that is in front of the panel that you remove to get to the spare tire, but I don't know if the is clearance for the speaker in between the panel and the steel body.
