Could someone tell me the correct size speaker that is mounted behind the dash grill on a 1966 Vista Cruiser?

I think it is an 8 inch oval shape. Call Electro tech...763 780 2861...they can give you exact fit and have the original in stock. Great value and products. They have a web site. Go to S&M Electro-tech.com

 

I can get you pictures of it in a while. I replaced it with two 3 1/2 dual cone speakers in my 67 (which has the same speaker stock) it was a huge improvement. I made a adapter plate from a piece of hardboard and mounted them to it then bolted it in place just like the factory speaker. I used the factory filler piece against the speaker grill so it looks original from the inside of the car.
