Hey I need your help to figure out what my interior color. The trim tag says 977 so does the build sheet. I need to purchase bucket seat backs & bases plus a new headliner and sail panels. Here is a picture the car has a black dash, package tray & black carpet Thanks for the help and suggestions

977 is Ivory Bucket Seat interior in the Supreme upholstery pattern, which is exactly what you see in the photo.

There was no white upholstery option in 1970, only ivory. The headliner would be white. Seat belts, carpet, console were all black with an ivory interior. This is documented in the PIM (aka, assembly manual).

From what I understand, the sail panels are just heavy cardboard which need to be covered with the headliner material or matching vinyl. I’m making my own

1) Buy Legendary if you can, especially for the door panels. PUIs often look like wrinkly trash bags and the chrome peels away. Since you mentioned Ames, they are the way to go for the correct silver beading around the seat backs and bases. Theirs are the correct diameter and satin finish, Everywhere else sells a thinner, chrom-ier version that is not correct.

2) If that's your nice-looking current interior in the pic and you want to recoup some costs by selling the front seat covers and door panels (and maybe some other parts), let me know. My '70 SX interior might like to have them.

Terry
