I am looking for the chromed strips which go on the sides of the bucket seats for a 1964 Cutlass . Questions- (1) I have seen cars which have strips which are flat across the top, on other cars the strips are pointed on top. Are both styles original for a 1964 Cutlass? (2) Do any of you know if replacements are made/sold for these pieces? (3) I read somewhere that the Corvair seats used the same strips . Is this true? Thanks for the help, John.

 

60-66 Corvair bucket seats do use the same outside chrome strips with the pointed ends. Henry

 

2 door hardtop and converts use the blunt end. 2 door post use the pointed end. Henry

 

Henry,Thanks for the info. I have a hardtop-looks like I should have the flat top pieces. Found some pointed top pieces on a Corvair web-site : still looking for a source for flat tops. Thanks again, John
