Hi all, I am attempting to remove the instrument bezel from my 1957 Olds 98. I found two nuts behind the key and lighter area, but after removing the bezel still does not budge. I'm sure there are other nuts, but I expected it to relax a bit in the area where I removed the nuts. Before I go further and possibly break something, is there any trick to taking this off? Thanks.

 

There are at least 6-8 mounting points that I can see in my Oldsmobile shop manual and the picture is not very clear two are at the top outside edge ,near each side of the top of the oval. Two are at the location you note and two more are in a similar location on opposite side. I suggest you get a shop manual. You can find them on e-bay and other sites on the internet
