68 hurst stripes

68 hurst stripes

what's the approximate width of the white pin stripe on these cars? we have a pin striper coming on monday to do the 68 hurst were building and need to give him some kinda of a dimension.

i would think they'd be the same as the 69, so maybe a 69 owner could chime in.

the black pin stripe on mine is right at 1/8th of an inch. not sure if that is correct width but thats what i got

did it mention the thickness of the pinstriping though? i did not see any but it ould be cause i am half blind as well lol.

When we painted the Silver Bullet I went over to Joe Munoz's house and measured his REAL '68 H/O, and the stripes ae 1/8", for sure. If you need any of the other dimensions, I have them saved, and would be glad to post.

Yeah, I think your fender stripe and rocker panel measurements are the same. The hood lines are different, just pointing out the obvious here lol.

SCOTTYB HERE I'M ALSO RESTORING 68 H/O CAR #72 W-45 COULD USE DIGITAL PICS OF ANY ALL START/STOP AREAS ESPECIALLY ANY TAKEN WITH A TAPE MEAS. OR RULES WHREE STRIPES TAPER OFF LWR QUARTERS, DOOR JAM TERMINATIONS, HOOD DETAIL... THX sbaldridge@eid.org 530-333-3558

NEED ANY ALL I CAN GET, I HAVE CAR #72 PAINT WAS OFF, HAVE BASIC STRIPE LAYOUT, BUT NEED QTR PANEL TAPER , DOOR JAM END POINTS AND WAS RED OXIDE PRIMER USED AS BASE FOR SILVER? SCOTTYB any pics of detail would help thanks sbaldridge@eid.org 530-333-3558
