It is recorded on the VIN which is the number on the dash as seen through the windhsield from the outside driver's side.

1983 Hurst Olds Assembly Number

I am the original owner of car #1,293. You can get your information verified accurately by contacting the General Motors Heritage Center.
6400 Center Drive, Sterling Heights, Michigan 48312. 586-276-0693.

Send them a nice short email request with the VIN# and they will advise you. For $50 dollars they will send you a copy of the original dealer invoice for your car. Hope this helps. The email address is gmhc@gm.com

I searched a few different ways and didint find my answer. No reason to start a new thread I guess so let my jack this one if you dont mind.

Is a low production # really even matter? I mean it doesnt seem to me like the production # would matter in terms of value, unless it was certain numbers, like 1,982, 3,000, 3,001, ect. I would think that the options ( or lack of options ) would matter most in terms of the cars value.

Thanks,
Paul

Don't know that it impacts the value whatsoever, but I've been giving out the sequence numbers and original owners on the '83 H/Os for years from an old Olds report I got many years ago. Drop me a line with the VIN and I'll give you the info I have on yours...

Yea, I caught that many moons ago. Quick glimpse of it sitting in the driveway while the garage door was closing!
