Ah, the one-of-none. The 305 Chebby was definitely an available option on the 1978 Omega. I like the fact that the seller claims to have seen three others.
Considering that the wheels on the car didn't come out until the 1979 model year, someone has clearly assembled this car and it ain't Hurst. I also like how he seems to think that the fact that the "H/O Omega" stickers are one piece somehow makes it legit. I guess he's never heard of Phoenix Graphics.

Just my thoughts on a few items... I don't think Hurst or Olds ever deviated from the Cutlass platform unless from when necissary, as in the 74 Delta 88 for the pace car and the Vista's for Indy duty. Just from other common sense points, I think the H/O 'decals' s/b emblems, they were readily available and were on the '79 prototype. I don't think they would have used a 'Hurst Equipped' emblem and the only reason I think that's on there is because they were just started to be re-popped a few years ago. Also, if you think about every production and 'prototype' Hurst/Olds I've seen, the name of the vehicle is not on the car anywhere, as in 'Cutlass', only one I believe was the 1973 as it still retained the 'Cutlass' script on the fender... The 'Omega' on that car is just too much and looks fake. One last item, the ad states the VIN# as: 3E37U8W139480... and that lends more credence to it being not real as I've always heard that ALL production Hurst's and prototypes were Lansing made vehicles and that's not a Lansing VIN
Unless there is some reliable documentation for that car, consider it a creation

Did anyone notice the speedo was in KM's? It really lends this to being a Canadian car and of course a fake.
Now I just read the entire listing and I don't know if he has changed it or what, but he clearly states that he has no paper trail to say this is a real car. He only has the build sheet with the listed options that he found under one of the seats.
So who knows what the deal is with the car, but I for one am convinced its a fake that someone did up to be different.
