Tinted cars.
As far as classics not being tinted, I just don't think it looks right on pre-late-70s cars. It doesn't make sense if you don't have AC and the windows are down. The only thing showing tint would be the back window in my Holiday coupe; that's why i haven't done it. G bodies look pretty good with tint, though.
That's weird no one wants to do it. By today's car standards, an 83 Cutlass should be a walk in the park with its easily accessible, fairly flat windows. The pitfall is the dirt around the edge that's built up for decades.

I found that 3M Crystalline film comes in a range of tints that have minimum 99.9% UV and 95% heat rejection. It's nearly impossible to detect the two palest tints by color. And the lightest tint in that line--CR90--still rejects more UV and heat than their darkest conventional limousine tint.
They also avoid heat buildup on the glass (that's what causes the glass to destruct) so it's old-car friendly in that respect as well.
You can search for a local dealer at https://www.3m.com/3M/en_US/car-pers...ler-installer/
Even when we were driving through AZ at 108°, the person sitting in the sun felt no hotter than the one in the shade. And the old A/C kept us very cool.
p.s. The CR90 tint was so light that I had the windshield tinted as well.

The other consideration with regard to a lifetime warranty is whether the shop is still operating. Many come and go. I stripped the tint from my 70, it still has factory green tint though. My daily ‘92 Roadmaster came from Scottsdale, and had very dark good quality tint installed (even on the front doors). As long as it looks nice and I’m not getting the shake down from law enforcement, I’ll leave it alone. If pulled over, I drop the windows first before preparing paperwork.
