Does a vehicle that is not equipped with a powerseat have the wiring for one in the car? Wondering if I can buy a powerseat and install in my 83 Hurst/Olds. I'm not good with the wiring stuff just a basic back yard mechanic ( oil change, brakes, tune up etc...) thanks

 

There is a separate power seat harness that goes with the seat. The fuse box has an accessory tap that the power seat harness plugs into. This is a bolt-in mod IF you get all the correct parts and wiring from a donor car.

Im looking to do almost the same thing for my 77 cutlass. I want the power and heated seats from a donor car. I just have to figure out the vehicle that will work and fit.

 

In your case, any 1973-77 GM A-body is a potential donor (Cutlass, Chevelle, Regal, LeMans, Grand Prix, Monte Carlo, etc).
