Hurst wheels or not?

Got 4 wheels here too, SSIIs...argent grey and a code of a 4 on the left of the valve stem, 4 MA on the right. Are these Hurst? They measure 14x7.

I'm not real up on Hurst Olds wheels, but I thought the 1969 had the outer ring chrome plated rather than a stainless trim ring. I do know the 1973 & 1974 cars could have had the 15X7 bolt on center cap as an option. That might have been Hurst Olds or 442. I once purchased a clunker 1974 Supreme with body colored 15X7 bolt on center cap wheels. My friends thought I was nuts but I bought the car for the wheels

There should be a letter & numeral adjacent with another numeral beneath them, example M2/5 with a 4 on the left of the valve stem hole and another 12 on the right of the valve stem hole, in my example it would decode as Motorwheel plant 2, April 12 1974. Does the center cap bolt on or snap on? a clear pic of the valve stem area will help, also a pic of the codes in the hoop area.

The 14X7 bolt on centers were used on Cutlass/442 from 1970 through 1974 I believe. From the photos I'm guessing they are body colored some shade of blue rather than argent gray. Which could have been repainted by the owner or were SSIII's. You might create a new thread with the codes if you'd like to find out what year they had come on.

I'm sorry, my eyes aren't too good with the colors. The older i get the more issues I have with that. And I screwed up on the sizing. Double whammy!

These are Hurst Wheels (see pic below)....made by Hurst and popular with the earlier GTO crowd. 14 x 6 size.

'69 H/O wheels had a chrome outer "hoop"/rim - not like the real "Hurst Wheels" I mention above---just modified Olds factory wheels

'68 H/O wheels were 14 x 6 and no chrome portions - same notes...not like the real "Hurst Wheels".

Here's a '69 H/O wheel....these were 15 x 7 on the '69 H/O cars. You can see the difference in the width of first (inner most) "step" of the wheel hoop. The center portion of the wheel was the same as used on 14" SSII wheels.

No problem...thanks for your help. I will get them cleaned up and post another picture sometime.

The date code was the biggest thing for me. I just wanted to find out it these were original to any of his cars he owned, and this turns out not to be the case. He did have an el camino at some point that looked like it had these wheels on it. I remember seeing the pic.

Yes, I actually looked into buying the new style Hurst Dazzler wheels for the car's alternate look, but the place that had the ones I wanted only had the gold and black center caps. Red and black have been on backorder for a long time. They do look great though. Both the vintage and today's style.
