Engine Transmission Swap

I have a 1984 Hurst Olds and a 1969 442 400 mated to a Muncie M-20 that I would like to install. Has anybody done this? I am running into all sorts of headaches . The flimsey G car mechanical clutch linkage interfears with the steering, headers and or manifold. The Hydramax Hydraulic Clutch kit master cylinder has to be mounted too low for proper clutch lever ratio. Looking at Wilwood clutch brake assembly but major firewall mod will have to be done. GM just didnt want a manual in this Olds. Some how some way It will get done. As I asked before has anybody done this? There is NO WAY IN HELL that I will stick a Chevy in it. So dont even go there

I'm not familiar with your vintage but I know that its been done before. If you haven't found the site called oldspower.com you should check it out. There's a lot more people there with G-body cars than here. Good Luck with your project.

The 400 is externally identical to the 455, and that's been done a LOT. Do a search, you'll find lots of info.
