I know most of us will agree all original is our dream car. I've seen couple 83s in the 808. Not stock but still nice. The one on powernation was done beautifully. My question is would you take a oem 83 or one like this.

If I found a awesome shape 83 hands down I'd take the original one. But have to admit this one was done beautifully.
mahalos to all of you. Keep the dream alive.

Most of the populous here is in it for the restoration. I prefer a stock look with improvements in mechanical areas for better acceleration, braking, and handling. Some will argue that the OEM engineering is peak, no matter how outdated. I will remain a proud member of the anti-LS consortium, though.

Well said. In the 808 nobody does restoration on older cars and motor work. Too bad. But lucky most of the pol here can do their own.

Agree 100%. I might add that on a documented car that is rare like a H/O or W-machine, they will benefit much more in resale value by an original restoration than an everyday Cutlass. Thus, my thinking is, keep those rare cars original, and mod-away on the everyday cars to make them better than new in every way you can afford. I prefer to keep the OEM look (or at least the "essence of an OEM look") on the outside and keeping mods as sleeper or factory looking as possible.
