69 Hurst/Olds vacuum routing

Hey Guys, I have a question in the assembly manual the 1-5 section & the 6-1 section the vacuum routing is confusing, my car has A/C now my car only had the nipple for the water hose but they also do the vacuum diaphragm on 1 picture which makes sense it would shut off the hot water going to the heater box so the A/C would work properly actually the A/C wouldn't have heat generated from the water hose the Diaphragm would shut it totally off THAT WOULD MAKE SENSE and that Diaphragm is actually listed with a gm part #
what is right (ANYBODY)? I'm confused again appreciate any helpThanksAlsmith787

Al....
Are you asking about the Heater Control Valve and the routing of the heater hoses to and from the Heater Core and the Water Pump?

A/C hot water diaphragm vacuum hose

Yes this is the vacuum actuated valve at the back of the engine block passenger side from what I read in the assy manual it's the #3 vacuum hose that has a white line on it???????? Can't find it or it's there & I'm missing it? The valve which I bought NOS part has a threaded end the other end has a hose end, then the Round Diaphragm at 3rd end which has a vacuum tube connection coming out of the middle what vacuum hose goes there AND more importantly DID the '69 H/O Have this valve from stock off assy line or did it just have a hose going on a fitting ONLY by the way this isn't a small valve it's a pretty tall valve is that right or was there a compact valve just a simple question honest.
ThanksAlsmith787

Al... You should have a vac line coming out of the dash connecting to the heater control valve, and mine does have the remnants of the white line on it...
