69 H/O air cleaner parts

So I did a search on this but still have some questions. How many parts are there to this air cleaner assembly? I see there is the base, the flapper and actuator, foam, but from the pictures I found in the search there seems to be a piece in-between the base and flapper. Is there a piece the flapper sits on, and is it available? I can't figure it out with the foam covering it on pics I found? Also I see posts of an air cleaner lid for this, where would that go. I see there is a reproduction of the flapper which I know fits the Rambler also. Pictures would be great and answer most of my questions. Thanks so much.

base
filter
inner lid
wing nut
adapter/housing (sits down inside the air cleaner base)
flapper and vacuum actuator
foam

Nothing but friction and the hood to keep the adapter/housing in place.

Thank you, so when I'm looking down and open the flapper door I'd be looking at the inner lid. Is the adapter housing and actuator available?

Some years ago someone was making a reproduction. It was very easy to spot on a engine. I think they were charging about $600.00. If you are looking for the real thing be prepared to pay major money for it. If you can find one, I consider it as one of the Holy Grails of the 69 H/O along with the "D" code heads and Intake Manifold. Good Luck

Here's a picture of one without a foam seal. Maybe this can give you a bit better look at what you want to know.

Here's a picture of a repro unit without the base. I think these were mostly plastic??? Don't recall.

How many times do people just unplug the vacuum line and let it breathe from the outside all the time?

Thanks for the pics. There is someone selling the flapper but what I was trying to figure out is how this would work. I guess this would have to be mended to that piece above the base which seems to be rare.

That part you show I believe is for the AMC SC/Rambler which mounts up into the hood. I believe it was the same piece when made of metal that was fused to the metal adapter piece on the 69 H/O. Note that the rough finish on top of the fiberglass unit. It was designed to be hidden when mounted into the hood of the Rambler.

Yep, you can see with a top without the foam where that is the same piece attached to the upper 'dome' that fits into the base. The actuator should be a FoMoCo part... There was a guy that was restoring them for the Ford Cobra Jet community, but I do not think he is doing it anymore.
