68 Hurst/Olds at local Chevy Dealer

Figured I'd show some pictures of a 68 Hurst/Olds that's at my local Chevy dealer. It's a sweet looking car, I just wish I had the money for it. In the neighborhood of 80k. Not sure if the chrome valve covers are correct. He has more cars, mostly 69 Camaro's one of which is a Yenko.

Yes, the chrome valve covers are correct! They are the same as the '66-'67 W30 ones, except '66 does not have a notched cover.

Actually, '68 H/Os did not have chrome valve covers, just the stock notched-style 442 covers painted like the rest of the engine. The '69 H/O got them chrome plated.

Nice looking car although they have a number of other obvious details wrong just from a quick glance at the photos...

Thanks for correcting me, you're absolutely right. For some reason I had '69 in mind when I said that. Definitely '69, not '68.

Well I found out the car has a 69 dated Toro block and has "C" heads. There's a story behind the car, it was stolen from the original owner and when found a few years back, the engine had been changed.
