38M406001 455 engine - '68 H/O?
I just purchased a '68 455 for a '66 442 project.
I was surprised to see it so close to my '68 H/O VIN 38M409964. I have a copy of a list compiled about 10 years ago with ~1/4 of the '68 cars (and some of the dealers) - is there a more complete list available?
I know it's along shot - is/was 38M406001 a '68 H/O?

You never know what you will find.
There was a 1970 442 on ebay last year that had a 69 H/O TH400 in it--I verified it by matching the VIN derivative on the Trans to the known list of 69 H/Os.

talk to Karl Sarpolis. I did the same thing a few years ago with the 68 455 block I have (turns out mine was later than the run of VINs for 68 H/Os, wasn't expecting it to be, but cha never know)
