This H/O showed up at U-Pull-it this week, didn't get there until day 5, but did salvage the 455 with Ka heads, TH400 transmission, the cross member, and the rear sway bar. I remember seeing this car parted out in the sand hills west of Albuquerque in 1993 when I bought another '73 H/O parked next to it. It was fairly stripped at that time and not worth restoring. What a shame.
That carcass still has value to restore a rust belt rot box. You southern & western guys don't realize that is still gold even stripped like it is. Nice find tx for passing it along.
Go get the body if you can, it's a 1 of 95 built V coded 1973 H/Os
If I knew then what I now know.
I had one of the black and gold 73 455 H/O's back in the day. A buddy borrowed it, blew the engine and I sold it for $600.
If it had not have been such a rust bucket, I probably would have went ahead and fixed it. Hindsight as they say.
