Shock absorber ID source
Shock absorber ID source
I have a bunch of Delco shocks from 60s to 80s but the part numbers are not on the boxes, just P and 4 digits. I can't seem to find a cross reference in the ac delco website. Is there a book to look for that shows the applications for Pleasurizers and Super lift shocks? Thanks
Try searching the part numbers stamped on the shock body. I've had better luck searching for applications that way. It's hard to X-reference older shocks because the part numbers are usually obsolete. Sometimes you have to find someone with an old catalog to look them up.
I can look them up a bit. P 1065 are 1971 88 98 rears including SW. This cat only is for 71, so they should fit others. P 1085 71 Vista rear standard + Hd susp. Ughhh...too hard for me! 1065 fits 71 Riv, too. Send me your e addie and I'll scan + send the few pages I have.

dead@mchsi.com. Is there a trick to this or a specific catalog? If I search my Olds books in group 7.345, it has part numbers but not the P numbers on the box.
The 'P' numbers are found in AC Delco jobbers parts books, such as 5 PA-100 Jan 1968. Let me know if Dr Olds does not have all your numbers.

The easiest place to find them is the TBA catalogs, but you need a lot of them. If you have a 1968 TBA it will only cover from 67 back. When Everett closed his warehouse, I bought 100's of GM catalogs and manuals from him. Those 1065's also fit 64-67 F-85 + Buick Special, but not GS 442 or HD. #'s starting with a 1 are Pleasurizers, a 2 denotes Pleasurizer HD, a 3 is a Pleasurlift set... P 3041 are rr for 65-67 Buick All ex Riv 65-68 Olds All ex Toro + F-85. I'll toss more later........
Anyone else find the term "Pleasurizer" just a tad suggestive?
I bet this car has a real good Pleasurizer
